Allen & Overy’s Singapore office was established in 1992 and the thriving joint law venture with Shook Lin & Bok LLP came into force in September 2000. Four lawyers feature in five chapters, highlighting the firm’s strength in the financial sector – with Allen & Overy Shook Lin & Bok lawyers found in the banking, capital markets and project finance chapters.

We include the “excellent” Kayal Sachi for banking and we are told she “really knows her stuff”, especially when it comes to acquisition finance and asset-based transactions. Sachi is also included in the project finance chapter, where the firm put in a strong performance. The “brilliant” Nicholas Crossin and “well-known” John Richards join Sachi to make up what is the largest team in our research for complex project financings.

The “fantastic” Ken Aboud heads the Singapore international financing capital markets practice and features prominently in the capital markets chapter. His expertise includes REITs, debt and equity transactions and bank regulatory deals. Aboud’s capital financing work in the energy industry received particular praise.
