Troutman Sanders LLP in Who's Who Legal: Georgia

Our findings indicate that Troutman Sanders is strong across a number of practice areas, with three inclusions in the merger and acquisition chapter. The past 12 months have seen the firm engaged as Georgia counsel to AT&T in its merger with BellSouth. The “experienced” James Smith led its contingent in the voting. Smith is joined by Robert Grout and Richard Brody, both of whom were consistently recommended to researchers. A strong showing in the corporate governance research highlights the firm’s corporate credentials, with Smith joining DeWitt Rogers in that chapter.


The firm is also home to one of the region’s most respected environment practitioners: John Johnson emerges as one of the area’s most consistently endorsed. The firm’s bench strength is demonstrated with nominations for Douglas Henderson and Margaret Campbell.
