Biography: Competition

Igor Svechkar is a partner heading Asters' competition practice. He has focused on competition law for more than 10 years and has developed one of the largest and most sustainable competition law practices in Ukraine.

Mr Svechkar has advised large international clients such as Coca-Cola, Nissan, Walt Disney, Beiersdorf, Heel, Telenor, Ansell, GSK, RUSAL, Siemens, Merck, Glencore International AG, UniCredito Italiano, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Electrolux, Acer Europe, Kodak Health Group, Ford, MAN, Deer & Co, Mitsubishi Chemical, Chrysler, L'Oréal, Daikin Europe, Novartis AG, and many others.

Mr Svechkar was educated in Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev and Utrecht University Law School. Igor is an active member of International Bar Association and the chairman of the competition committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association and a co-chair of the Competition Commission of ICC Ukraine. He also regularly contributes to Ukrainian and international publications on competition law.
