Biography: Mergers and Acquisitions

Vincent Macq is a partner in the Brussels office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and heads the corporate practice in Belgium.

Vincent specialises in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and in capital markets transactions. He advises Belgian and international clients on a broad range of corporate matters, with a particular expertise in private equity, public takeovers, privatisations, joint ventures and corporate governance. His capital markets transactions experience includes assisting both issuers and underwriters, in connection with initial public offerings, secondary equity issues, hybrid securities and bond offerings.

Before joining the firm in 2002, Vincent was a partner with an international law firm in Brussels and headed the New York office for four years. He obtained his law degree from the Catholic University of Louvain and a LLM from Georgetown University.
