Carl joined Bowman Gilfillan as a partner in the corporate department in 2006. He is acknowledged as being one of South Africa's leading specialists in mergers and acquisitions, negotiations, stock exchange transactions, cross-border commercial transactions and trusts. He advises many JSE-listed companies and leading businessmen. He is also a non-executive director of a number of listed and unlisted companies.Carl has written many articles and presented many seminars on a number of business and corporate-related topics over many years. He also contributes to various Bowman Gilfillan updates and newsletters.
