Hasan has drafted changes for the new patents law on behalf of Pharma Bureau (an association of international pharmaceutical companies in Pakistan) for submission to the government of Pakistan and has also served as a member of the working group on TRIPs Agreement constituted by Ministry of Commerce, government of Pakistan. He has also served as a member of government of Pakistan's committee for implementation of TRIPs Agreement requirements in Pakistan, and served as a member of the information technology law forum constituted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, government of Pakistan, to review all laws of Pakistan and make them e-commerce friendly. Hasan has also drafted the proposed data exclusivity law in Pakistan on behalf of the Pharma Bureau for submission to the government of Pakistan. He also has considerable experience and advises on competition law issues including those related to IPRs.
