Guillermo Barragan was invited by the Institute of the Americas to organise and coordinate conferences regarding the carbon market in Latin America, with special focus on the creation of a voluntary carbon market in the region regulated by the Mexican Stock Exchange, he is actively involved in analysing the regulatory aspects of projects and designing strategies to ensure their conformity with the relevant legal requirements of clean development mechanism projects and international standards such as those set forth by the World Bank Group and the OCDE.
