Biography: Mining

Anatoly Andriash is involved in high-profile, large-scale projects, advising domestic and international clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, multi-million investments spanning multiple jurisdictions, IPOs and private placements in capital markets around the world. Anatoly's practice involves planning and developing strategies for acquirers and acquisition targets. Transactions of this nature frequently require conducting due diligence investigations of assets and corporate documentation and advising clients on observance of local rules and regulations. Anatoly also provides legal counsel on corporate structuring of businesses, assisting with initial capitalisation through to ongoing liquidity requirements involving the use of public equity and debt financings.

Whereas his client base consists mostly of major oil and gas companies - Russian and international, he also has many years' experience of working in the mining, power and telecommunications industries.

Anatoly frequently speaks at international conferences and most recently has addressed topical legal developments in Russia's natural resource sector from a foreign investment perspective.

Anatoly graduated in law in 1994 from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He also holds a MBA and a MSc in International Finance and Management from the Open University Business School, London.

As a member of the International Bar Association and director of the Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association in Moscow, Anatoly is actively involved in the business community in Russia and in promoting relations between both countries.
