Biography: Private funds

Amos Veith is a partner with P+P Pöllath + Partners in Berlin. He has practised tax and corporate law since 2000 and assisted clients in structuring and reviewing several hundred private equity and similar closed-end funds. Amos is consistently ranked among the leading lawyers for his private funds practice.

He studied law and philosophy in Bonn and Cologne, as well as environmental law at the University of Aberdeen, UK (LLM). He specialises in fiscal and legal advice for domestic and foreign institutional and private investors and initiators in the field of private equity funds, as well as in the field of fund-of-funds in the sectors private equity, mezzanine and secondaries. Mr Veith's publications include articles on taxation of investments and regulatory and tax aspects of fund structures, as well as speeches and papers to various seminars on private equity funds. He is the editor of the Frankfurt commentary on private equity (Frankfurter Kommentar zu Private Equity) which describes the major relevant tax, regulatory and legal aspects for private equity funds in Germany. His clients include international banks, insurance companies and family offices, as well as major private equity companies. He has three children.
