He is a chartered quantity surveyor with over 30 years of experience in construction and engineering consultancy. For the majority of his career Peter has been involved in international projects and at various points in his working life has been permanently resident in the Middle East, West Africa and South East Asia.
Peter has extensive experience as a quantum expert and has provided oral testimony and been cross examined on a number of occasions. Over 80 percent of Peter's expert appointments have been in relation to international arbitration. He has provided advice on projects in the construction and engineering sectors in Europe, Caribbean, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
He specialises in quantity surveying and commercial matters and has provided advice to owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants on projects in a variety of construction sectors. Major projects on which he has worked include highways and bridges, railways, airports, reclamation and dredging, petrochemical plants, offshore and onshore oil and gas, process plants, power plants, commercial and residential buildings, sports stadia and leisure facilities.
Peter's experience also includes cost management and consultancy, claims preparation and defence, arbitration and litigation support, adjudication, mediation, contract advice, insolvency and corporate recovery advice and support and technical due diligence in construction related mergers and acquisitions.
Peter has acted as an adjudicator and has been appointed as a DAB. He holds an MSc in construction law and arbitration from King's College London.
