Biography: Banking

Martin Ebner is a partner with Schoenherr, Vienna, where he specialises in banking, debt restructurings and re-financings, structured and non-recourse (project and acquisition) finance and debt capital markets. Martin, who is a member of the Vienna Bar, graduated from University of Salzburg (Mag iur 1995) and thereafter earned a postgraduate degree from Pallas Consortium (LLM 1997).

Martin is representing arrangers and lenders active in the region as well as borrowers/issuers in transactional work in Austria and CEE. He has a proven track record in respect of many different types of debt restructurings and non-recourse financings, including project, acquisition and asset-based financing. In addition, Martin is Austrian counsel to ISDA, the Bundesverband deutscher Banken eV and the Britisch Bankers' Asscociation on issues of close-out netting and advises numerous banks on derivatives transactions (including collateral structures) with Austrian and Central European counterparties.
