Biography: Corporate Tax

Dr Xaver Ditz is a tax advisor and partner at the Bonn office of Flick Gocke Schaumburg. His main field of expertise includes business taxation in both a national and international context. He specialises in international tax law, especially transfer pricing, double tax treaty law and the taxation of permanent establishments. In this connection, he also advises his clients in tax audits, tax litigation and mutual agreement procedures.

His clients are stock-listed groups (including DAX 30 companies) and large family businesses operating in a wide range of business sectors (eg, IT, pharmaceutical, medical, energy, automotive, retail and fashion).

Dr Ditz is a lecturer at the Federal Finance Academy and is a frequent speaker at national and international tax seminars. He is a member of the International Fiscal Association and represented Germany at the IFA Congress 2010 in Rome.

He regularly publishes books and articles on recent developments in the field of national and international business taxation. His main publications include the 'Handbook of the Taxation of Permanent Establishments' (Betriebsstätten-Handbuch), and the chapters on transfer pricing in the 'Handbook of Corporations' (Handbuch der AG) and in the 'Handbook on the Taxation of Partnerships' (Handbuch der Personengesellschaften im Internationalen Steuerrecht). Dr Ditz has published, among many articles, 'The Practice of International Tax Law 2011' (Praxis des Internationalen Steuerrechts 2011).
