Biography: Arbitration

Dr Marc Veit is a partner in the litigation and arbitration team of Walder Wyss Ltd, one of Switzerland's leading law firms. Marc Veit has been involved as counsel or arbitrator in more than 70 international arbitrations under various rules, such as the ICC rules, the Swiss rules of International Arbitration, the LCIA rules, the arbitration rules of the Stockholm Arbitration Institute and the Uncitral rules involving the substantive laws of Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, England, China, Turkey, Georgia and Albania.

His dispute resolution practice concentrates on litigation and arbitration, with particular emphasis on multi-jurisdictional disputes. He has been active in complex international litigation and arbitration matters in various industries such as telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, energy, commodity trading, nutrition, international construction and shipping.

Born in 1970, Marc Veit was educated at the University of St Gallen (lic iur 1997; Dr oec 1999) and UC Berkeley, USA (visiting scholar, 1998). Before joining Walder Wyss, he was partner in a major law firm in Zurich. Marc Veit teaches international arbitration at the University of Fribourg.
