Crenguta is the vice president, and a member of the panel of arbitrators of the Romanian Court of International Commercial Arbitration. She is also a member of the panel of arbitrators of the Bulgarian Court of the International Court of Arbitration and of the WIPO list of neutrals for intellectual property disputes. She was also appointed as an arbitrator in cases under VIAC rules, the Danish Institute of Arbitration and ad hoc arbitrations. Crenguta is a member of ICC Commission on Arbitration, as a representative of the Romanian National Committee and was a member of ICC task force on criminal law and arbitration and of the IBA sub-committee on conflict of interests in arbitration.
She has written numerous publications and made numerous presentations in conferences on international commercial arbitration, including a report concerning Romania: Arbitration in Foreign Investment Treaties (2005); Arbitration of Foreign Investments Disputes and Romania (2006); The Right to a Fair Trial in International Commercial Arbitration Introductive Considerations (2007); Arbitration in Romania (2007); The Appointing Authority in International Commercial Arbitration (2008).
Crenguta graduated from the Faculty of Legal and Administrative Sciences, University Lucian Blaga, Sibiu, the law faculty of Ecological University, Bucharest and she received her licence from the law school of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iasi, Romania. She holds a PhD in corporate litigation, magna cum laude, from Bucharest University. She has been a visiting lecturer of international commercial arbitration on the LLM programme of Petru Maior University, Targu Mures and is currently a lecturer in business law at the Bucharest University of Economics.
She is fluent in Romanian, English and French, has a good command of Italian and a basic knowledge of German.
