Ms Nappinai commenced practice at the Madras Bar in 1991 specialising in constitutional, criminal and IP litigations till 2000. Ms Nappinai shifted to Mumbai in 2000, where she specialised in ICT laws, corporate finance and cross border commercial transactions, initially with Ms Amarchand Mangaldas and thereafter as an independent practitioner.
Ms Nappinai, is a founder member of the Technology Law Forum (TLF), a not for profit organisation that spearheaded several initiatives of TLF with NASSCOM, FICCI, IMC et cetera, in workshops and training for the judiciary, Mumbai police, public prosecutors and industry verticals in ICT laws.
Ms Nappinai was selected as a delegate to the USA under the international visitor leadership programme 2005, of the Department of State, USA (IPR).
Ms Nappinai has made several presentations on ICT and IPR topics in India (the University Grants Commission programme for continuing education, Mumbai University; ITechlaw Asia Pacific conferences in India and leading educational and industry verticals in India) and abroad including for the St Louis, Missouri Bar Association and LSPI Annual Conference, Barcelona, Spain and Malta, and has written for leading publications on topics ranging from ICT laws, IPR and gender justice. Ms Nappinai has trained as a mediator at the World Intellectual Property Rights Organisation (WIPO), Geneva and in India and is an empanelled mediator of the High Court in Bombay.
