Since 2003, she has been concentrating in advising clients on a wide range of environmental matters, with a particular focus on advice on disclosure obligations, environmental compliance assessments, climate change legislation, general advice relating to environmental claims - civil, criminal and administrative - liabilities and corporate policies. Ms Barbarulo has broad 11 years experience in environmental management and complicated clean up cases.
Since 2009 she has been working as a consultant to the UNDP's global climate change programme - Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT), involved in activities related with climate change and clean development mechanisms negotiations (CDM's); and emissions reduction purchase agreements (ERPA'S).
Ms Barbarulo is a frequent speaker and author of several articles on a variety of environmental topics. She was a member of the environment division of the Brazilian Bar Association; she graduated from Pontifícia Universidade Católica in 2000 and is a member of the state of São Paulo section of the Brazilian Bar Association. She has studied and obtained specialised diplomas and recognitions in environmental law. She is a postgraduate of environmental law, obtained a MBA in environmental management and environmental auditor from JPD Environmental, UK.
