Biography: Capital Markets

Patrick Schleiffer heads the capital markets group of Lenz & Staehelin in Zurich. He advises banks, dealers and brokers and other financial intermediaries as well as investors and issuers of securities in all capital markets, banking and regulatory matters with a particular focus on IPOs, rights offerings, bond and note issues, registration and listing of investment funds, stock exchange and financial services regulation and cross-border offerings and listings of securities into Switzerland. Mr Schleiffer also specialises in corporate governance matters.

Patrick Schleiffer has been a partner with Lenz & Staehelin since 2002. He holds a MCJ degree from the New York University School of Law, a Dr iur degree from the University of Zurich and is admitted to the Zurich Bar and the New York Bar. Mr Schleiffer is a frequent speaker at professional and academic conferences and an author of numerous publications on capital markets, securities and stock exchange regulation, investment funds, financial services regulation and corporate governance topics. He speaks German, English and French. Mr Schleiffer is admitted as a recognised expert for the listing of securities on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
