Mr O'Keefe advises Canadian corporations and foreign multinationals on all aspects of Canadian taxation, including cross-border transactions and international structuring. He also gives tax planning advice to high net worth individuals. His practice includes dispute resolution.
Mr O'Keefe has served as a special assistant to the minister of finance, government of Canada, and was a member of the joint taxation committee of the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and of the board of governors of the Canadian Tax Foundation. He speaks and writes frequently on subjects relating to Canadian and international tax planning matters and is currently on the editorial board of the Federated Press International Tax Planning Journal. Mr O'Keefe was an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Law, for 20 years.
