Biography: Insolvency & Restructuring

Florian Gantenberg's practice focuses on the entire range of restructuring and insolvency matters. With an expertise of more than ten years in this field, Florian advises companies in (international) restructurings. Closely connected to the restructuring work is his advice to companies and directors, officers and shareholders regarding insolvency filing duties and issues of personal liability. As an insolvency administrator appointed by courts in the West of Germany, he has the necessary understanding of the workings of insolvency proceedings. His clients profit from this understanding and have often asked him to represent them as buyers in the acquisition of insolvent companies or in their function as debtors or creditors in insolvency proceedings. His clients include foreign and German companies from all branches, including manufacturing and trading companies, banking institutions and major insurance companies.

Florian graduated from Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg, received a LLM from the George Washington University Law School and successfully completed his Referendariat with the Appellate Court (Oberlandesgericht) in Munich. He is a member of the German American Lawyers Association (Deutsch-Amerikanische Juristenvereinigung eV) and the Arbeitskreis für Insolvenzwesen Köln eV.
