He is a regular contributor to the Austrian commercial law journal ecolex and author and co-author of several publications in the trademark, copyright and media law field as well as a lecturer on intellectual property law on the University of Vienna and professional training courses in preparation for the bar exam on AWAK. He received his Masters degree in law from the University of Vienna in 1994 and his PhD degree in 1999. In 1998 he earned a postgraduate degree (LLM) from the New York University, USA.
