Biography: Management Labour and Employment

Ajay Raghavan is a partner in the Bangalore office of Trilegal and heads the labour and employment law practice of the firm.

Under the leadership of Ajay, Trilegal has developed a dedicated employment team that advises some of the top Indian and multinational companies on a variety of issues ranging from employment contracts to termination strategies. Ajay's areas of expertise include drafting employment manuals for various domestic and international companies, structuring employee stock option schemes, structuring and negotiating senior management contracts in different sectors as well as advising on voluntary retirement schemes. He also frequently assists clients with disciplinary enquiries and harassment claims. Ajay has also assisted many domestic and international employers on reorganisation, termination and closure of their businesses in India as well as on union-related issues. He has also been involved in drafting and reviewing confidentiality, non-solicit and non-compete agreements. Ajay also regularly advises clients on immigration law issues.

Ajay is a frequent panellist and speaker at various domestic and international conferences on employment law including at the IBA, the IPBA and a number of other significant regional conferences and events.

Trilegal is the sole India representative to the Employment Law Alliance – one of the largest and most significant labour and employment networks in the world and has also been awarded the Labour and Employment Law Firm of the Year, India Business Law Journal, 2011.
