Biography: Oil and Gas

Mr Jáuregui is the chairman of the management board of Jáuregui y Navarrete. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, energy, telecommunications and infrastructure, and as a specialty, international trusts and estate planning.

Mr Jáuregui is a frequent speaker in conferences and seminars and a writer of legal articles. He is a member of the Mexican Academy of International Law and the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law; secretary of the board of governors of the Mexican Council on Foreign Affairs; vice president and general counsel of the national board of directors and the executive committee of the Mexican Council of Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology and president of its section of North America; vice president and general counsel of the executive committee and the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico; director and past chairman of the board of directors of the British Chamber of Commerce of Mexico; and director of the board of directors of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Mr Jáuregui is an honorary officer of the Order of the British Empire.

Miguel Jáuregui Rojas is the founder and chairman of the Management Board of the Law Firm of Jáuregui y Navarrete. His main areas of legal practice include mergers and acquisitions, PPPs, energy, oil and gas, telecommunications, infrastructure, real estate, private client and as a specialty, international trusts and estate planning.

Mr Jáuregui is a member of the Mexican, American and International Bar Associations, the Mexican Academy of International Law, The International Academy of Estate and Trust Law and director of the board of directors of the British Chamber of Commerce and of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, The US-Mexico Law Institute and the Mexican Institute of Mediation.

He is also executive vice president of the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, A.C. and member of its executive committee; vice president of the Mexican Council on Foreign Affairs; executive vice president and legal counsel of the Mexican Business Council of Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology, member of its national board of directors, its executive committee and president of its Section of North America; member of the technical committee of governors of the Franz Mayer Museum; president of the board of governors of the Foundation of Development and Promotion of the Bibilioteca Vasconcelos; member of the Chief Executives' Organization and the Young and World Presidents' Organizations and a former president of the board of directors of the Mexico Chapter of the World Presidents' Organization and secretary of the Assembly of Associates of the Universidad Iberoamericana.

Mr Jáuregui is an Honorary Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
