Biography: Product Liability Defence

Mr Ghyo Sun Park is a partner at Shin & Kim, Seoul, Korea. Mr Park focuses on commercial litigation including intellectual property, product liability, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and international arbitration. He leads the firm's intellectual property and product liability practice group.

Mr Park has been involved in many significant patent infringement cases and product liability cases including first Korean Tobacco Litigation. He has also provided legal advice to SBS, one of the premier private broadcasting station and KBL, one of the popular professional sports entity. Mr Park has served as a member of advisory committee for intellectual property rights, Korea Trade Commission since May 2008.

Mr Park graduated from Seoul National University School of Law (LLB) in 1986 and studied at the UC Berkeley School of Law, California (LLM) in 1997. He worked with Associate, Morrison & Foerster, (Palo Alto, US) in 1998.

He was listed in Chambers Asia 2009 as an intellectual property leading lawyer.
