With over 15 years of experience, Sameen Vyas has advised various stakeholders including lenders, developers and sponsors, investors, concessioning authorities and contractors on over 40 infrastructure projects. In the area of project finance, he has advised both borrowers and various banks and financial institutions on loan and security documentation and general corporate issues.
Mr Vyas acted as counsel to a syndicate of domestic and foreign lenders for the financing of the approximately 4000 MW Sasan ultra mega power project. With an estimated project cost of US$4 billion, this transaction was ranked one of the largest project finance transactions of 2009.
