He has acted in substantial complex litigations and arbitrations for a number of years both domestically and internationally. These encompass substantial significant international construction, infrastructure and energy projects including acting or advising in claims and arbitrations governed by the laws of Dubai, Cyprus, Ireland, Turkey, England & Wales, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Jordan and Nigeria. In addition to his experience as an advocate appearing before all variety of tribunals, Stuart is highly sought after as an arbitrator.
Stuart was awarded Construction Silk of the Year 2008 by Chambers & Partners and has been nominated for the award every year since. Chambers & Partners 2011 recognise him as a "star individual" and "one of the leading construction silks by a very long way". Legal 500 2010 describe him as "extremely bright, very hardworking and unbelievably thorough".
Particularly noteworthy substantial recent work includes a large infrastructure project in Africa, the design of an oil and gas processing facility, a series of claims arising out of the construction of an airport, and an arbitration relating to the construction of an LNG plant.
