Ms Rao's practice focuses primarily on rendering advisory and legal assistance in project finance, banking & finance and private equity matters and associated regulatory work. She has represented lenders in the debt financing of power projects (including UMPPs), an oil refinery in India, an iron ore terminal, an expansion of a power project in western India, transmission line project, crude steel capacity brown field expansion project, facilities for handling of crude oil and finished products, installation, etc of GSM Network across 22 circles in India and acquisition of NLD and ILD License to route the telecom traffic, development of various road projects, acquisition of telecom towers, manufacturing of solar photovoltaic cells & silicon wafers, dedicated coal mines, ECB financings, corporate financing, assets acquisitions, restructuring of debt of an airline, expansion financing.
She was also member of the group of Indian Bank's Association and was involved in term loan consortium documentation. Ms Rao is a visiting lecturer of financing law related topics in various law colleges.
