He is partner in the Mexican law firm Berezowsky & Cervantes, and his practice has focussed since 2000 on energy, oil & gas, natural resources, government procurement, corporate law, administrative law, anti-bribery and administrative litigation.
As part of his background, Mr Cervantes has provided legal advice to key players in the oilfield service sector, in bids, negotiations & mediations, contracts and disputes in Mexico. He has also assisted in the financing and negotiation of security packages of drilling companies operating in Mexico. Mr Cervantes has represented players in the defence of BOT water treatment plant projects. He has been involved in multiple M&A transactions, including the purchase of one of the largest water infrastructure companies in Mexico. In the power sector, he has actively participated in representing multinational conglomerates in power generation and supply projects.
Mr Cervantes has been recognised in consecutive years since 2009, as leading lawyer in oil & gas and natural resources by Who's Who International. He is the main recommended Oil & Gas lawyer in Mexico by Global Law Experts (2012).
He has been an active speaker in several international and national forums regarding the energy sector, such as LAGCOE Louisiana Gulf Coast Exposition 2011.
