Biography: Capital Markets

Christopher J Cummings is a partner in the corporate department and a member of the firm's capital markets and securities and Canadian practice groups. Based in Toronto, he practices US securities law with a particular emphasis on cross-border capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. He has worked on a broad range of public and private transactions for investment banks and companies in a number of industries, including oil and gas, mining, insurance, transportation, computer hardware and software development and telecommunications.

Mr Cummings' practice includes providing advice regarding corporate governance and other general corporate matters. Mr Cummings joined the firm as a partner in 2011. He has served Canada-based clients and multinationals doing business in Canada, and has been based in Toronto since 1995. He has been cited in The International Who's Who of Capital Markets Lawyers and The Legal 500.
