Biography: Corporate Tax

Andreas Kolb is partner of KOLB International Tax Services. He is a specialist in national and international tax law. He studied law at the University of Berne, taking his bar exam in 1981. He served in the Swiss Federal Tax Administration (division for international tax affairs) as head of unit and was also delegate to the OECD committee on fiscal affairs. Before setting up KOLB International Tax Services in 2011, Andreas Kolb gained further professional experience with one of the major law firms in Zurich and as partner in an international law firm with offices across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Besides national and international tax law, Andreas Kolb's areas of concentration are mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate restructurings. His fields of activity are also withholding taxes, taxation of artists and sportsmen, structuring of international assignments and international organisations. He also advises private clients and has large experience in juridical and administrative assistance in tax matters. He practices in German, English and French.

Andreas Kolb has published extensively both in Switzerland as well as abroad and is also editor and co-author of various commentaries on international tax law. He is lecturer in international commercial law and international tax law in Zurich's LLM programme at the University of Zurich. Due to his numerous publications and activities as speaker at domestic conferences and abroad, Andreas Kolb is well known as a recognised international tax expert.

Andreas Kolb is a member of the Zurich Bar Association, the Swiss Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and the International Fiscal Association.
