She has acted for corporate clients as well as the public sector on regulatory issues such as telecommunications, broadcasting, water, energy, corporatisation, privatisation and restructuring, and has assisted a wide network of African clients when applying for broadcasting, telecommunications service and electricity related licences.
Pippa's practice experience includes work in public private partnerships, legislative drafting, and the drafting and interpretation of procurement policies. Pippa has also assisted with the resolution of procurement-related disputes.
Some of Pippa's other areas of operation within the firm include Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment and medical schemes. She is the co-author of a chapter on public procurement in the book Constitutional Law of South Africa. She teaches constitutional law at graduate training programmes and holds training workshops for various clients on the right of access to information.
Pippa is recognised as a leading lawyer by the following reputable rating agencies and their publications: The International Who's Who of Public Procurement Lawyers 2010 and 2011 - Public Procurement (South Africa); and Best Lawyers SA 2010 Public Finance (South Africa).
She has a BA and LLB (cum laude) from the University of Cape Town and an LLM from the University of Toronto.
She was admitted as an attorney and conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa.
