Biography: Mergers and Acquisitions

Andreas specialises in M&A transactions. His clients are institutional investors as well as large family-owned businesses. Further he is often appointed as arbitrator in disputes related to M&A transactions or corporate litigation.

Andreas Rittstieg's recent M&A work includes advising the following clients, Kühne Holding AG regarding its investment in the container shipping line Hapag Lloyd AG; shareholders of Max Bahr Group (DIY-chain) on the sale of the DIY business to Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte AG/Moor Park Capital Partners; EQT on the acquisition of MTU-Friedrichshafen; and the limited partners of brewery Beck on the sale of their shares to Interbrew SA (now InBev).

Andreas Rittstieg was recently singled out as one of the top senior partners in M&A by a German legal directory. PLC named him one of the leading lawyers in his field.
