Also her in depth understanding of the business activities of pharmaceutical companies enables her to put specific legal questions into a broader context. Her clients are mainly innovative Dutch and foreign pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and academic hospitals.
Anke has built up a wealth of experience in the Netherlands and abroad in the field of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent law and litigation, IP due diligence as well as pharmaceutical law.
Anke's education began by earning a degree in chemical technology from the University of Delft in 1994, afterwards taking a postgraduate degree in innovation management at the University of Madrid in 1995. Anke subsequently worked for the European Patent Office as an examiner, at the same time working towards a degree in law at Utrecht University, which she completed in 2001, when she became a member of the Amsterdam Bar.
Anke is a member of the Dutch Group of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), EPLA, LES, the Association for Pharmacy and Law, the Dutch Biotechnology Association and the Royal Dutch Chemical Association.
