Mr Cobb, a former federal prosecutor, has been lead counsel in over 50 criminal and civil trials in United States District Courts and has appeared frequently before United States Courts of Appeals. He has represented many of the world's largest corporations or their senior executives in criminal matters, SEC investigations and Congressional hearings, and conducted numerous internal corporate investigations. Among his public high-profile representations are representing AIG and it's then-CEO, Edward Liddy; before Congress following the worldwide financial crisis, the options backdating internal investigation for Home Depot's Audit Committee; the exoneration of two high-ranking former Qwest executives; the acquittal of Hudson Foods Inc, the SEC disposition in Gemstar-TV Guide International; the exoneration of a Clinton cabinet official in an Office of Independent Counsel investigation targeting that individual; and the defence of former commerce department official and DNC fundraiser, John Huang, before Congress and the Department of Justice.
Mr Cobb is a frequent speaker and writer in the area of internal investigations, Sarbanes-Oxley and other white-collar topics and has published several articles in the American Bar Association's Complex Crimes Journal. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and was selected as one of Lawdragron's 500 Leading Lawyers in America, 2010. In addition to appearing in this publication, he is profiled in Best Lawyers in America and Who's Who in the World.
