Mr Musgrove advises on Investment Canada, cartel, merger, monopolisation and distribution matters, as well as misleading advertising, and makes regular representation and submissions to the Competition Bureau. Leading competition law cases include MasterCard/Visa, NutraSweet, Interac, West Fraser, Polaroid and Air Canada/Toronto Port Authority. Mergers include Kraft/Cadbury, Shell/Himont, Teck Cominco/Fording Coal, Procter & Gamble/Tambrands, Rogers/Quebecor and Philip Morris/Nabisco. Cartel investigations and class actions include those involving cathode ray tubes, compressed gas, electrical contractors, copper concentrates, fine paper, real estate services, liquid crystal display and marine hoses, amongst others.
Mr Musgrove is editor-in-chief of Fundamentals of Canadian Competition Law CBA/Carswell (second edition 2010); founding editor of the Toronto Law Journal; and a designated contributor to Canadian Advertising and Marketing Law, as well as the author of the Competition Law Tab in the Canada Corporations Law Reporter, CCH Canada Limited.
