He attended the University of the Witwatersrand where he completed his BA (Legal) in 1987 and his LLB in 1990. Warren commenced his articles with a large South African law firm in 1992.
After completing his articles, Warren joined a prominent mining house, where he focused on health, safety and environmental aspects. Warren was actively involved in the Leon Commission of Inquiry, which focused on health and safety in the mining industry and subsequently the Parliamentary process on the mineral law regime. Warren also holds a Masters degree in company and environmental law. Warren is extensively involved in the commercial and commercial litigation aspects associated with the mining, construction and engineering industries.
Warren consults throughout Africa, Australia and the United Kingdom.
He is recognised as one of the leading specialists with regard to health, safety and the environment, both in the mining and construction industries, and as a subject matter specialist in complex mining related commercial transactions.
