Mr Haddad has briefed numerous cases in the United States Supreme Court, and regularly practises in federal and state appellate courts throughout the country. His matters frequently involve the impact of federal constitutional, statutory and regulatory provisions on the scope of business liability, and arise in a variety of areas including administrative law, antitrust law, constitutional law (commerce clause, due process, equal protection, first amendment, federalism and pre-emption), intellectual property, products liability and professional responsibility.
Mr Haddad serves on Sidley's committees on accounting and finance, professional liability and risk management, and promotion and retention of women. He is a member of the board of directors for Town Hall Los Angeles.
Mr Haddad received his JD from Yale Law School in 1985, where he was editor-in-chief of the Yale Law Journal. He received his MA (Rhodes Scholar) from Oxford University in 1980 and his AB (with honours, with distinction) from Stanford University in 1978. He is admitted in California and the District of Columbia.
