His major recent matters include representations of Altria, Consolidated Edison and other clients in litigated and other matters, as well as clients in arbitration proceedings. He is currently chair of the committee on civil litigation at the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York, co-chair on the advisory group for the New York State-Federal Judicial Council. In addition, he is a member of the American Law Institute, American Bar Association, American Bar Foundation, Federal Bar Council, joint committee on local rules, US district courts for the Southern and Eastern districts of New York, member of the New York State Bar Association and a member of the New York City Bar.
His past memberships have included chair of the committee on antitrust and trade regulation, New York City Bar, 1983 to 1986 and chair of the committee on federal courts, New York City Bar, 1998 to 2001.
Mr Miller became partner in 1973 and was previously a law clerk for J Edward Lumbard, US Court of Appeals, second circuit 1966 to 1967. Mr Miller graduated summa cum laude, from Yale College in 1963 and received his LLB, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1966.
