Biography: Corporate Tax

Michael Nordin is a partner in Schellenberg Wittmer's taxation group in Zurich. Apart from providing general tax advice, his practice focuses on transactions such as financing and capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations as well as on restructurings. Michael Nordin is the head of the Zurich taxation group at Schellenberg Wittmer and a member of the firm's management committee.

Michael Nordin was admitted to the bar in Switzerland in 1993, after graduating from the University of St Gall, where he obtained a law degree in 1991 and a doctorate in 1996. In 1996 to 1997, he studied at New York University, where he graduated with an LLM in International Taxation. In 2000, Michael Nordin qualified as a Swiss Certified Tax Expert. He worked previously in the group tax department of a major Swiss bank, in the tax departments of two international 'big four' audit firms as well as for a large business law firm in Zurich.
