Mr Farber is a member of Davis Polk's tax department. He has advised clients on a variety of domestic and international transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and securities offerings, and he has regularly advised investment banks and other financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, UBS and Deutsche Bank, in connection with their financial instruments, derivatives and capital markets activities.

Mr Farber is listed as a leading lawyer in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business and Legalease's The Legal 500. He is the co-chair of the committee on financial instruments of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section.

Mr Farber was a law clerk to the Honourable H E Widener, Jr, of the US Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit from 1994-1995. He joined Davis Polk in 1995 and was elected partner in 2001.

Mr Farber received his BA from Rutgers University in 1991. He earned his JD in 1994 from George Washington University Law School, where he served as book reviews and articles editor of the Law Review. He is admitted in the State of New York.
