Biography: Corporate Tax

Pierre-Jean Douvier joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 1986. He previously had been with Coopers & Lybrand (1981-1984) and Ernst & Whinney (1984-1986). He currently co-leads the international department. He is specialised in transfer pricing and in private clients, having 27 years' experience in those areas. The support of four economists is invaluable when assisting clients in transfer pricing. His other practice areas are cross-border transactions - including M&A, financing, refinancing, hybrid financing and restructuring, financial leasing, European and international taxation. The second area of expertise is private clients: legal and tax regime which includes family law (international aspects), immigration law, assets protection, wealth transfer techniques, successions, real property investments, trusts impacts within civil jurisdictions. He is a member of the Institute for Tax Advisors (IACF), the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the International Bar Association (IBA) and is also the honorary vice president of the trusts committee (IBA).

He is a lecturer on international taxation at the University of Paris II Assas and also a speaker at conferences on topics such as, transfer of domicile, trusts, and assets reorganisation.

He is the author of several publications edited by the IBFD, The Regime of Partnerships and The Regime of Permanent Establishments, as well as others published by the Editions Francis Lefebvre in English and French (in particular MONACO legal, accounting and tax regime or a book on transfer pricing published in 2010), Option Finance. He regularly contributes to reference books such as Tax Director's Guide to International Transfer Pricing (2010). He is a correspondent for the ITPJ (International Transfer Pricing Journal), and regularly writes international articles in English.

He holds a Masters degree in Business Law from the University of Paris II Assas (1981) and is a graduate from the ESLSCA Business School (1979).

He speaks English and German fluently, and Italian.
