Biography: Environment

David B Weinstein is chair of the environmental & toxic tort litigation practice at Greenberg Traurig. He has an active civil and criminal litigation practice with an emphasis on environmental, toxic tort, business, health care, and other complex matters.

In the civil context, David represents clients in class action, mass tort, multidistrict, and other complex litigation. In the criminal area, David represents organisations and individuals in a wide variety of federal and state cases. He also has significant experience with internal investigations involving allegations of regulatory violations, fraud, and other misconduct. In both the civil and criminal areas, David has substantial experience helping clients develop and implement public relations, investor relations, and crisis management strategies.

David has authored over two-dozen chapters, articles, and papers on environmental and business issues, including for the Federal Bar News & Journal, The Florida Bar Journal, and American Bar Association publications, and has made numerous presentations for the ABA, the US Sentencing Commission, The Florida Bar, and other professional organisations. He is vice-chair, environmental enforcement and crimes committee, ABA section of environment, energy, and resources and co-chair, criminal litigation and enforcement subcommittee, ABA environmental litigation committee.

David is listed in Chambers and Partners USA Guide (Band 1 - environmental law), Legal 500 (litigation - product liability and mass tort defense), and The Best Lawyers in America (environmental law and commercial litigation). He was selected one of the 'Top 100' Florida Super Lawyers, and was inducted into the Florida Legal Elite Hall of Fame.
