She was awarded the 1997 Intellectual Property Institute of Canada's (IPIC) Educational Foundation Prize for highest standing in the trademark agents examination for all of Canada. Janice also successfully completed the Intellectual Property Summer Institute (IPSI) programme at the Franklin Pierce Law Centre in 1996.
Janice's practice focuses on Canadian and international trademarks. She has in-depth experience in search analysis, filing applications, oppositions, cancellation proceedings and portfolio management. Janice offers clients strategic advice for protecting and managing their trademarks in Canada and abroad.
Janice authored an article on Canadian trademark prosecution that was published by World Trademark Review magazine.
Currently, Janice is a member of the International Trademark Association's (INTA) board of directors, the vice chair of the INTA's programmes committee and a member of INTA's education and services group (ESG) council.
