Biography: Corporate Tax

A partner of the firm since 1994, Ian has been listed among the Top 10 tax advisors in Canada by the International Tax Review, and is consistently recognised as a leading tax lawyer in Canada in Lexpert's Canadian legal directories. Who's Who Legal reports Ian Gamble as a gem, and Chambers Global Guide to the World's Best Lawyers says: 'Responsive, prepared and proactive, Ian offers accessible and very practical tax advice. He advises on several corporate tax-related matters, representing clients in the telecom, real estate, mining and oil and gas industries.'

Ian is the editor-in-chief of the International Tax Planning Journal (Federated Press) and is the author of Taxation of Canadian Mining (Carswell). A former adjunct professor of corporate taxation at the Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia, Ian regularly contributes to tax related publications and conferences. He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the International Fiscal Association. Ian holds a bachelor of science degree from McGill University (1985) and a bachelor of laws degree from the University of British Columbia (1988). He is a member of both the British Columbia Bar (1989) and the Ontario Bar (1999).
