Ms Núñez has been praised as a leading attorney by publications such as; Chambers Global; The International Who's Who of Mining Lawyers; Practical Law Magazine; and Latin Lawyer.
She worked with Claro y Cía (Chile) from 1990 to 2000 and with Debevoise & Plimpton, (New York), from 1997 to 1998. She has been a professor of economic law at the University of Chile Law School since 1992 and she was a trustee at the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation from 2005 to 2007. Ms Núñez is also member of the International Mining Professionals Society, the Center for International Legal Studies and member of the board of the LLM programme in international law at the Suffolk School of Law.
Ms Núñez is a member of the International Bar Association where she was the co-chair of its mining committee from 2004 to 2006 and chair of the committee from 2006 to 2008. Currently, she is the secretary of the section on energy, environment, natural resources and infrastructure of the IBA (SEERIL). She is a partner of the law firm Núñez, Muñoz & Cía Ltda, Abogados, based in Santiago, Chile. Ms Núñez is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian.
