Biography: Corporate Tax
Oleh Marchenko is managing partner of Ulysses. He leads in the tax and dispute resolution practices of the firm. He has wide experience in the areas of corporate law, M&A, corporate finance, and real estate.Before, Oleh Marchenko was a partner and the head of corporate & M&A practice, and later the head of the firm-wide tax practice of one of the leading law firms in Ukraine and CIS.
Oleh has served clients like ADM, Alfa Group, Banka Intesa, Bunge, Cargill, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Erste Bank, Goldman Sachs, ING Bank, JTI, Microsoft, Naftogas of Ukraine, Saint-Gobain, Shell, Severstal, Teva, TNK-BP, Unimilk, and others.
Oleh and his tax team have built the leading tax practice in Ukraine, recognised as Ukraine Tax Firm of the Year and Ukraine Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year at the European Tax Awards 2009; as Ukraine Tax Firm of the Year at the European Tax Award 2010, by the International Tax Review; and recognised as a first-tier firm in tax law in Ukraine by the International Tax Review (World Tax 2010) and by Legal 500 EMEA 2010.
Oleh is recognised as a 'first class' tax lawyer in Ukraine by Legal 500 EMEA 2010 and his tax practice has been praised as being 'responsive, commercial and practical', 'providing the full range of regulatory, transactional and litigation [tax] advice'.
Oleh is the president of IFA Ukraine, the Ukrainian branch of the International Fiscal Association.
