Biography: Trademarks

F Peter Müller is a German and European patent and trademark attorney. He studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich, the Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden, and studied law for patent and trademark attorneys at the University of Hagen, Germany. He was educated and has worked at the German Patent- and Trademark Office, the German Federal Patent Court in Munich, the District Court of Düsseldorf and at an intellectual property law firm in New York. He received his Masters degree in electrical engineering and passed the examination of law for patent and trademark attorneys in Germany, the German patent attorneys examination and the European qualifying examination. Peter also studied Mediation for one year at the University of Hagen.

Peter is a partner of the intellectual property law firm Müller Schupfner & Partner in Munich and is, among others, second vice president of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA, Brussels), former member of the board of directors of the International Trademark Association (INTA, New York), member of the council of ECTA, president of the Mediation Association of German Patent and Trademark Attorneys (MAP, Munich), member of the standards commission of the International Mediation Institute (IMI, The Hague), member of the panels of neutrals of INTA, WIPO and CPR and an IMI certified mediator.

Peter is experienced in trademark, patent and design prosecution and IP infringement issues and represents domestic and international clients in IP matters before the national and international patent and trademark offices and courts.
