Biography: Trademarks

John H Weber is a partner in Baker Hostetler's Washington, DC, office and is the firm-wide head of the intellectual property, technology and media group. Mr Weber conducts a practice that concentrates on intellectual property portfolio management and enforcement, with particular focus on counselling, search opinions, domestic and foreign prosecution of trademark applications, licensing and patent litigation.

Mr Weber began practising trademark law with Borg-Warner Corporation in Chicago, where he served as trademark counsel. He moved to Washington in 1986 and practised with an intellectual property boutique before joining Baker Hostetler in 2001.

Mr Weber is a member of the European Communities Trade Mark Association and has served on several committees of the International Trademark Association and the Federal Bar Association. Mr Weber has been recognised by his peers in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers.
