Atsushi Aoki has been executive partner of Seiwa Patent & Law since 2009. The firm (partnership) is one of the largest and most prominent intellectual property law firms in Japan and provides clients from around the world with a wide range of professional services (patents, utility models, designs, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, prosecution and litigation related to all IP matters).He graduated from Keio University (law department) and obtained an LLM from the National Law Center of George Washington University. He was admitted as a patent attorney in Japan in 1990, and in 2004 was authorised to represent clients in court for specific infringement litigation.
He mainly specialises in trademark prosecution, litigation and domain names, and represents a large number of major domestic and overseas companies with regard to various trademark matters. He is a member of the Japan Patent Attorneys' Association, INTA, AIPPI and APAA.
