Biography: Management Labour and Employment

Daniel Ksiazek, born in 1976, is one of the youngest lawyers to be featured in The International Who's Who of Management Labour and Employment Lawyers. Daniel Ksiazek is the founder and the managing partner of Ksiazek & Bigaj, established in 2006. Within four years his firm has become the largest law firm in Poland specialising in labour and employment law, the team at Ksiazek & Bigaj work exclusively in this field. The firm also handles the majority of employment-related cases adjudicated by the courts of all instances and by the Supreme Court.

Daniel's nationwide practice focuses on labour and employment litigation, mainly assisting employers' organisations and trade unions operating in Poland. He is the exclusive personal legal adviser to the board members and managing directors of some of the largest corporations in Poland. In particular, he routinely counsels Pfizer, Sanofi-Aventis, Medicover, Unilever, Ikea, Tesco, DHL, Vattenfall, PKO Bank Polski, PNB Paribas Fortis: Fortis Bank Polska and other financial institutions. He verifies their compliance with labour and employment regulations. Mr Ksiazek also counsels other attorneys on the most complex cases.

In addition to his work as an employment attorney, Mr Ksiazek is active in several professional organisations, including the European Employment Lawyer Association and American Bar Association. Mr Ksiazek also lectures and gives classes for prospective entrepreneurs on labour and employment law at the institute of journalism and social communication at the Jagiellonian University. His articles on employment-related topics are published in legal advice sections of the main Polish daily newspapers.

Mr Ksiazek read law at the Jagiellonian University. He completed his legal training at the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Cracow.
