In 2006 she received her Master's degree from the São Paulo State Law School. Her thesis, to be published, deals with work-related accidents and diseases originating from labour.
Nadia is currently studying for a PhD at the São Paulo State Law School, focusing on the subject of transnational work. She is also a local collaborator on the Doing Business/World Bank's Project and has published several articles in scientific journals, including the following chapters in books, "The American Contingent Region" in Global Mobility Handbook, 2010, Cassio Mesquita Barros (Org) 1st edition São Paulo: Saraiva, 2009, pg 29-34; "Screening, interviewing and hiring the best qualified and most talented employees in Brazil", Salvador Del Rey and Robert Mignin (Org), Kluwer and the IBA, 2007, Chap 5, pg 450-468; and "Labor workplace and collective bargaining", Enoque Ribeiro dos Santos and Otávio Pinto e Silva (Org), ed São Paulo: LTr, 2006, pg 245-254.
Nadia works on litigation labour cases but her expertise remains in consulting work, specifically, answering the questions that the human resources and personnel departments of Brazilian companies have regarding the extensive related legislation.
She has a particular focus on providing employment audits. To prevent possible future lawsuits, she analyses HR departments' procedures to check that they comply with employment legislation.
In order to prepare the managers and supervisors, she has applied training programmes on the best labour practices, which has resulted in evident success for the clients.
Nadia speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.
